Dave Kelly in Canada

As well as hi solo acoustic sets he was asked to play with British guitar legend Albert Lee and Elvis' musical director and guitarist James Burton. Hughie Flint to work with Gary Fletcher again!

Legendary original Blues Band drummer Hughie Flint joins Gary Fletcher on Weds April 24th at The Crooked Billet, Stoke Row, nr Henley, Oxon� RG9 5PU Tel: 01491 681048�www.thecrookedbillet.co.uk playing bhodran and other percussion instruments. Gary will be playing guitar, slide and banjo and the two will also be joined by harmonica star Alan Glen (Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero etc) and Tom Leary, violinist extraordinaire, from folk rock mega stars Feast of Fiddles. They be playing songs from Gary's solo albums and tunes of his contributed to the Blues Band catalogue plus tunes from Willie Dixon, Blind Willie Johnson, Robert Johnson etc. In addition Hughie and Tom are certain to cut loose with a wild jig at some point, so it's going to be an exciting evening! "I was always a big fan of Hughie's even before I met him in the BB from his work with Eric Clapton in John Mayall's band, Ronnie Lane, Alexis Korner and, of course, his brilliant drum part on McGuinness Flint's recording of the Gallagher and Lyle classic 'When I'm dead and gone'. So it's a great opportunity to play with a true original once again in a totally different musical enviroment - can't wait!" ]]>
